Petra and Anders, also known as Two Bikers One World. The Swedish couple started an around the world tour from Manchester, England, in May 2013. They left their jobs and sold their house and their belongings to ride around the world on two BMW F800GS.
Petra is a photographer and has exhibited her work throughout UK. Travel and adventures have always been a great interest of her, especially when she has the opportunity to get to know different cultures.
Anders worked as an IS/IT Manager. His interests for motorcycles became when he saw the epic ‘Long Way Round’ with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman and shortly after that he took his motorcycle driving licence and bought his first motorcycle, a BMW R1200 GS.
They have now been on the road for over two years (July 2015) and have ridden approx. 80,000 km through 30 countries along their route through Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, Southeast Asia, India, Nepal, Alaska, Canada, USA and Central America. Next on the tour is South America all the way down to Ushuaia, Argentina. Then they plan to ship the bikes to South Africa and ride up to Europe again. The whole trip will take about three and a half years, but it can be longer depending what turns up around the next “corner”.
